Shougat Dasgupta is senior editor at Coda Story. He has been a writer and editor at several national magazines and newspapers in India. He has also edited award-winning books on subjects as diverse as what Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan represents to women in economically liberalized India, the medieval poet-mystic Kabir, the history of the Parsis, and the Gujarat government's alleged complicity in the 2002 riots that resulted in the deaths of nearly 1,000 Muslims. Shougat is based in New Delhi.
