Far-Right Groups Shouting “Kill” Shut Down Ukrainian LGBT Festival
An LGBT festival in the Ukrainian city of Lviv on March 19 was cancelled after the venue was surrounded by about 200 members of far-right groups shouting “Kill, kill, kill”. Ukrainian human rights activists reported that at least two festival guests were severely beaten by a group of young men in Lviv over the weekend, and many others, they said, were threatened and intimidated.
