Russian Patriarch Says LGBTQ Agenda is a ‘Significant Threat for the Existence of the Human Race’

In an exclusive televised interview with RT, a Russian-financed news network, Patriarch Kirill, the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, compared LGBTQ legislation in western countries to apartheid and anti-semitic laws in Nazi Germany.

Anti-discriminatory laws the protect gays and LGBTQ people are “at odds with the moral nature of human beings,” said Patriarch Kirill. He said efforts to legally protect sexual minorities is a trend that “poses a significant threat for the existence of the human race.”

The Russian Orthodox Church has not swayed from its dogma that homosexual acts are a sin and has been supportive of Russia’s anti-gay propaganda legislation. The Russian media has portrayed laws that protect LGBTQ people as values forcibly exported by the decadent west.

Expansion of tolerance of LGBTQ people, the Patriarch said, made him fear for humanity’s future.
